Over the years I have seen a huge number of articles and flamewars about which programming language is better. For the most part I have stayed out of these, maintaining a right-tool-for-the job point of view. Recently I have seen quite a few articles on programming.reddit.com taking the form of "you should do X because Y". I hate these articles.
